Heather qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse after completing her Level 3 Diploma in Veterinary Nursing at the College of Animal Welfare. Before qualifying, she gained valuable experience working as a Patient Care Assistant and Student Veterinary Nurse within first opinion practice, building a strong foundation in patient care and veterinary nursing.
Heather is passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of both patients and their owners. She particularly enjoys the variety that veterinary nursing offers, from advanced imaging and diagnostics, including CT, MRI, radiography and endoscopy, to running in-house laboratory tests.
She was drawn to Hamilton Specialist Referrals by the opportunity to work with a wide range of complex cases in a multidisciplinary environment and to utilise advanced equipment while providing exceptional patient care.
Outside of work, Heather enjoys swimming, hiking and spending time at the shooting range with her grandparents. She also shares her home with her three cats, Dobbie, Zelena and Arlo.
