David graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2009 and following a couple of years in primary care small animal veterinary practice embarked on his specialist surgical career. Following two 12-month internships, he began his surgical residency at the Royal Veterinary College which he completed in 2016. David became a European Specialist in Small Animal Surgery in 2017 and is an RCVS Recognised Specialist in Small Animal Surgery.
Since completing his specialist training David has held the position of Lecturer in Small Animal Orthopaedic Surgery at the Royal Veterinary College, most recently leading the Orthopaedic department. David’s clinical interests include the streamlining of orthopaedic salvage procedures and he enjoys the complex challenges presented by the trauma patient.
