Dr Karla Lee

Karla is a board-certified European Specialist in Small Animal Surgery and is joining us from Veterinary Specialists Scotland and previously the Royal Veterinary College, where she was Head of Small Animal Soft Tissue Surgery.

Karla completed her PhD and 3-year residency at the RVC and has lectured both at the RVC and the University of Cambridge.

She has won multiple accolades including Young Investigator Awards from the American Society of Bone and Mineral Research and the Society for Advances in Mineral Metabolism, the European College of Veterinary Surgeons Award for Best Small Animal Resident Abstract and a Medical Research Council Award, in collaboration with Professor Jalan at University College London, to investigate novel therapies for liver failure.
