Rachel Pickles

Rachel qualified as a registered veterinary nurse in 2001 and achieved her Advanced Diploma in Medical Nursing in 2008.

Rachel has worked in multi discipline referral centres since 2002 and her main clinical interests are medical nursing, particularly endocrinology and transfusion medicine, medical neurology, and oncology.

Rachel enjoys lecturing in medical nursing, supporting the nursing and nursing assistant team in career progression and growth.

Rachel is very passionate about Infection control, clinical governance and quality improvement. Rachel is also a mental health first aider and is extremely dedicated to supporting her team.

Outside of work, Rachel enjoys walking her English Bull Terrier Betty, horse riding and is a trained equine sports massage therapist.
