Lab Technician

As part of our clinical team expansion, we are excited to invite applications from experienced candidates seeking to join our team within our cutting-edge multi-discipline referral hospital as a veterinary Lab Technician.

As a veterinary Lab Technician, you will be a key member of the laboratory team responsible for performing various tests and analyses on animal samples. Your work will support veterinarians in diagnosing and treating animal patients. This role involves processing samples, maintaining laboratory equipment, managing inventory, and ensuring

that tests are conducted accurately and efficiently. You will also be responsible for sending samples to external laboratories when necessary.

Our day veterinary care assistant team consists of 9 members in varied roles, who you will be working with closely to support our vets and nurses.

This is a full-time role, consisting of 40 hours per week on a rota basis. All of our clinical support teams work 2 Bank Holidays per year, and 1 in 6 weekends for which Time Back in Lieu is given.

Experience of working in a clinical environment is essential. You must be a team player as our Lab Technician will play a vital role in coordinating between our specialists, interns and nurses to ensure efficient processes within the lab setting. You must be willing and able to achieve and maintain the very highest standards within Infection Control, in order to support the hospital to achieve the necessary clinical standards expected within an environment such as this. Being able to work in a consistently thorough manner in a fast paced environment and having a high attention to detail is essential for this role.

Please note, candidates must be able to work in the UK independently, as we are not able to offer visa sponsorship.
