Tristan qualified in 2013 from Nantes University (France) and pursued his training with a rotating internship in small animals in Lyon University.
Tristan was trained in veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia at the Royal Veterinary College in a very busy, vibrant and cutting-edge hospital where he had the opportunity to learn and become confident in a variety of skills and techniques across a range of species. Prior to joining HSR in November 2021, Tristan worked at an established veterinary referral practice, where he gained his Specialist status earlier the same year.
Open-minded, Tristan is always trying to include the most recent evidence into his practice and also to look for input from other colleagues to achieve the highest standard of care for his patients. Team work is of particular importance to him.
Tristan is very keen to promote the use of loco-regional blocks, in particular ultrasound-guided, as well as balanced anaesthesia and managing critical care patients in and out of theatre.
Outside of work Tristan lives with his partner and their cat Martha. In his spare time, Tristan enjoys running, occasionally bouldering, playing music (guitar and piano more recently) and learning foreign languages.
